The Craziest Races at Fun & Serious Game Festival 2016

We’ve been showcasing Breaking Fast at Fun & Serious Game Festival in Bilbao. It’s the first time that we attend this event and we were looking forward to it since it has a good reputation at an international level. And it didn’t let us down. The latest news on big platforms, lots of high-quality indie games, interesting talks given by relevant professionals, lots of media coverage… all the required ingredients to make the event into a great success for both gamers and developers.

Also, we were in a private area that we shared with our colleagues from the EOI coworking, and we met interesting people and studios from Bilbao that took us on a beer and gastronomic tour. A great trip!

As for the event, thousands of visitors passed by and enjoyed the craziest breakfast with our game Breaking Fast, and even Chincheto and Tonacho (two well-known Spanish youtubers) played it and stated that they loved the game and wanted on their channels… Awesome!

Talks were of high quality, although we couldn’t turn up at all that we wanted. Just to mention a few, there was a nice roundtable discussion about the artistic nature of video games, and Yuji Naka came to talk about his beloved blue hedgehog and mentioned a funny anecdote with Michael Jackson…

To conclude the festival, we attended the so-called Gala Golfa, hosted by the aforementioned Chincheto and Tonacho. This gala is held along with the Titanium Awards gala and serves as the comical counterpoint of this one. Both galas were celebrated inside the Guggenheim Museum, which was a nice opportunity to take a look at this charismatic building. We really laughed a lot with the jokes by these youtubers.

We expect to come back next year, and we wouldn’t mind attending the Titanium Gala next time…
